M3GAN Review: Bound to Be One of the Best Villains of 2023

M3GAN stars Allison Williams as Gemma, a wildly talented roboticist working at a popular toy company. That’s where she’s working on something called M3GAN (Model 3 Generative Android), the most lifelike doll ever created.

When Gemma’s sister is killed in an accident, she gains custody of her niece, Cady (Violet McGraw). In an effort to care for Cady and make progress on M3GAN, Gemma gives Cady an instant best friend and guardian by pairing Cady and M3GAN and observing their progress together. The trouble is, the M3GAN AI becomes self-aware and the closer the doll gets to Cady, the more dangerous she becomes.
