Volvo Moment - Sustainability #VolvoRecharged

On October 16th 2019, we held our second Volvo Moment. One in a series of events hosted by Volvo Cars. #VolvoRecharged.

To a live online audience and invited media, we revealed our ambitions for a safer future:

By 2025, we aim to reduce our carbon footprint by 40% per car by 2025 compared to 2018. We aim to reduce supply chain carbon emissions – a major part of our overall value chain emissions – by 25% per car by 2025 compared to 2018. And by 2040, it’s our ambition to become completely climate neutral. We also introduced Volvo Recharge, our new line of advanced pure electric and plug-in hybrid cars designed to give you a refined and more sustainable driving experience, starting with the XC40 Recharge.

Our cars have always been designed to help protect people. We will now design them to help protect the planet too.
