John Wagstaff's '51 years', with London Buses & his new book. 📚

Doubledeckeranton's 'fellow work colleague' John Wagstaff, retired from the London bus industry in 2017. 🚍🔚

John 'served 51 years' with public transport, starting in 1966, at the head office of London Transport and ending with bus company Arriva, as a driver on Tottenham Court Road - Penge route 176.
He was based at Norwood bus garage, in the south of London.

John recently wrote a book about his life on London Buses, as a conductor and driver, as well as managerial positions.

His book is titled 'Are You Going Straight?', as in reference to when passengers ask this very common question to bus drivers, when boarding. ("Are you going straight, or do you turn left?")

This book tells in humourous tone, the period in-between. (1966-2017) 📚
