Joining the ranks of Bridgerton, Outlander, Game of Thrones, all based on epic book series, the television adaptation of Edith Wharton’s book, centered around 5 American girls who marry and dabble in English nobility, for better and for worse.

Centering around Nan St. George, and her two suitors, Guy and Theo. One’s a duke, and the other is the Duke’s best friend. Ooh, drama. Let’s just say, once the two learn of each other’s affection for the same Nan, they “duke” it out. Literally and figuratively. What’s a girl to do? “Two many Dukes, too little time,” eh, Nan? Unlike, the aforementioned books, The Buccaneers was an incomplete novel at the time of Wharton’s death, leaving us in cliffhanger purgatory. Thankfully, the show will help us through this.
