Synopsis: A small girl in a very happy family was waiting for her father on Diwali night who has promised her fire crackers. But he never came. For some time they kept on moving from place to place, till one day they found shelter in a thatched house in a far off city and mother and grandmother were really thankful to a policeman, Dharmdas. His son Sunder soon became friend to little girl. Time passed on. Sunder had grown up into a big, handsome Sub-Inspector of Police and Dharmdas had agreed to get him married to that girl who has blossomed into youth now. Now grandmother was going blind and only an operation could save her; but they had no money. So young lady took up job as a dancer in a hotel. once she was being chased by goons a kind man saved her and took her to his home. He was her uncle. He stayed on with them but again disappeared. But the mother, a widow, was pregnant. Sunder refused to talk to Heroine and marriage was cancelled. Everyone wanted to throw them out of neighbourhood but miraculaously, uncle returned and saved them.
