Today, DJ Peach Cobbler describes the theological, historical, political, and emotional motivations behind the infamous friar Diego de Landa's atrocities against the Maya. His infamous inquisition and auto da fe has gone down in history along with the man himself, due to his "authoring" of the Relaccion de los cosas de Yucatan. As with all things in history, simple explanations give way to complicated half-truths as we attempt to find the humanity in de Landa's inhumane actions.
