One of my childhood heroes was D’Lo Brown. His moveset was fun. His character was fun and he often had the stand out match during the attitude era. But following the botched running powerbomb on Droz which left him paralysed D’Lo was never truly the same in the WWE. He lost his confidence and swagger and a bunch of bad gimmicks followed. Once his turban wearing Lo Down team finished, D’Lo remained employed.
He was harshly used on TV until a new gimmick started for him in 2002. He became a racist who wanted everyone to get down with the brown. Alongside his manager Teddy Long no success was found. He left WWE but returned again in 2008 for a pointless feud with Santino Marella.
