En-dehors des femmes de l’entourage de Muhammad (Khadija, Aisha, Fatima…) et des souveraines (Shajar al-Durr, Arwa al-Sulayhi, Sitt al-Mulk…), peu de musulmanes sont connues du grand public. C’est comme si, en-dehors d’elles, l’histoire n’avait pas retenu le nom d’autres femmes. Comme si personne d’autre n’avait eu d’importance dans la société de leur temps.

C’est faux.
