Le gouvernement du Québec annonçait en 2022 un investissement de 65 millions de dollars pour recruter 1000 infirmières de l'étranger. Les renforts en santé commencent à arriver.
La main-d'œuvre étrangère permet non seulement la survie de plusieurs hôpitaux, mais aussi, celle des programmes en soins infirmiers qui seraient autrement fermés.
