Blood, guts, fascists and nasty killer space bugs. This is the recipe for an awesome movie. Here’s our favorite bits from Paul Verhoeven’s epic science fiction film, STARSHIP TROOPERS. Based on the book by  Robert A. Heinlein, the movie centers around the Terran Federation (a military regime that runs planet earth) and their invasion of the bug planet known as Klendathu.

Sparked by an attack from Klendathu, resulting in the eradication of one of earth’s major cities, the Terran Federation sends their forces to Klendathu to destroy the bugs once and for all. Upon arrival, the roughnecks on the ground realize that they’ve bitten off more than they can chew.
