Charlieplexed 4x4x4 RGB LED Cube

Published on Sat, Mar 23rd 2013 People & Blogs Rectangular HD

No shift registers were employed in the making of this RGB LED Cube!
That is 4 levels x 4 rows x 4 columns x 3 colors = 192 LEDs driven by 16 Arduino pins!
Who is this Charlie guy, and how did he get to be this amazing!?

Piknikguy, Asher Glick replied:
The dev branch of the charliecube software on github has the mappings for an arduino mega, as well as for a leonardo. The mega and the leonardo also need slightly different clock settings, which have also been taken care of in the dev branch. Connect the LEDs to the same arduino pins and they should work.
