নতুন শহর নির্মান করতে যাচ্ছে আফগানিস্তান । নতুন এই শহরটির নাম নিউ কাবুল সিটি । আফগানিস্তানের নতুন এই শহরটির আয়তন ৭৪০ বর্গকিলোমিটার । নিউ কাবুল সিটি’ নির্মাণের উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হয় ২০০৫ সালে হামিদ কারজাই সরকারের আমলে। ১২ হাজার একর জমিতে কাজ শুরুর মাধ্যমে প্রকল্পটি উদ্বোধনের সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছিলো। এমনকি আফগান, ফরাসি ও জার্মান প্রকৌশলীরা শহরটি গড়ে তোলার মাস্টারপ্ল্যানও তৈরি করে ফেলেছিলেন। কিন্তু জমি অধিগ্রহণ, মালিকানা জটিলতা ও বিভিন্ন নীতির কারণে এই প্রকল্প চালু করা সম্ভব হয়নি। বর্তমানে আফগানিস্তানের শহর নির্মানের প্রকল্পটি আবারো শুরু করতে যাচ্ছে । নিউ কাবুল সিটির আয়তন ৭৪০ বর্গকিলোমিটার । যেখানে , সিঙ্গাপুরের আয়তন ৭১৯ বর্গকিলোমিটার ।


Afghanistan is going to build a new city. The name of this new city is New Kabul City. The area of this new city of Afghanistan is 740 square kilometers. The initiative to build 'New Kabul City' was taken in 2005 during the Hamid Karzai government. It was decided to inaugurate the project by starting work on 12 thousand acres of land. Afghan, French and German engineers even drew up a master plan to build the city. But due to land acquisition, ownership complications and various policies, this project could not be launched. Currently, the city construction project in Afghanistan is going to start again. The area of New Kabul City is 740 square kilometers. Where, the area of Singapore is 719 square kilometers.
