here are some checklists to find out if you're better suited for one field over another. remember this isn't a foolproof checklist, just because you like law and order doesn't mean you should study forensic psychology! it just should give you an idea of what kind of aptitude one might have for each given field

CLINICAL/COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGY
👉 Like working with people?
👉 Have an interest in helping people with problems?
👉 Find that you are a person others feel comfortable talking to about their problems?
👉 Have good listening skills and avoid tuning out when people talk about their lives?
👉 Have compassion and feel for other people when they are suffering?

SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY
👉 Have an interest working in a school setting?
👉 Enjoy working with children or adolescents?
