ID Software showed an impressive return to darker times with Doom The Dark Ages. From gameplay, scale, scope and technological improvements the demo showed us a good slice of what we can expect of the new IDtech 8 come 2025. I get back to my roots with a preview of what we saw, what it may mean and why the art, style and sound could be right off the cover of an Iron Maiden album.
