Riding An Island Line Class 484 Train

Published on Sat, Mar 23rd 2024 Travel & Events Rectangular HD

Riding a Vivarail upgraded D-Train on the Isle Of Wight

This film rides and has lineside views of 484 005 as it travels from Ryde to Shanklin. On this day only this one train was in service and the service frequency was hourly.

Perhaps the most successful of the Vivarail upgrades of former London Underground D stock trains is the small fleet on the Isle of Wight which are powered at 750 V DC by a third rail.

Filmed in March 2024.
