Have you ever seen one of these before? I remember my Lola (grandma) in the Philippines using this!

She used this coconut shaver for freshly grated coconut, which she sprinkled on top of a Filipino kakanin (sticky rice dessert).

The other thing I’d see her use was a metal ice shaver, maybe I’ll have to get one of those too hehe.

Having one of these at home reminds me of life in the Philippines. Sometimes it all feels like a surreal dream
