Do you know why it was so close to the powerful serial TV,
I want to ask you a question, which was the most favored TV show of your childhood. So what would you answer? In public, almost every child who has seen the power of Doordarshan, starring Mukesh Khanna, is the most powerful television show in all of them. Nowadays everyone likes the superhero of Hollywood films. And those films are also very much liked in India.
Why the power came off,
When the story of shaktiman was being thought about. Then the shaktimaan director and Mukesh Khanna decided that they would broadcast their show on Doordarshan because that was the same channel at that time. Which ran all over India. Shaktiman stayed on DD1 for a long time, but used to take 10 lakh rupees for broadcasting one episode of Doordarshan's Shaktiman. And they used to pay this money every year. In this way, the Doordarshan 1 portion was taking 40 lakhs. There was also a lot of cost to make power from above. Which was getting too expensive. For this reason Shaktiman was locked on TV.
